For 60 years and counting, Onaping Falls has had a winter carnival for the community beginning with the Levack-Onaping Winter Carnival in 1964 then the Dowling Winter Carnival beginning in 1971 with Ookpik being born in 1972.  Our winter carnivals have been a huge event for the residents of Onaping Falls every year.
